stacked
to see which color her showlead shoud be, she had to be stacked + was a good girl :) I know, we have to work on those ears ;) I still can't decide... I don't like that the black leash brakes her throat up, but it looks better behind the ears - any opinions?
new toys
last visit at the pet store, she couldn't resist this little chick... you can chew it, run around like a lightning, or wonder, if it's dead?!
aaaand, we found her perfect match ;) a little black & white cow + it's a real dog-toy! here blurry in the background. just the colors are reverse... I'm gonna eat ya - where's the meat?

she wants to be a cat
b'cause she LOVES to play with their mice :) of course, then Kenzo wants to play with it too give it back! I know it's in there! they can even tug with it! those doggies...

ooops
Martin flipped me over the couch-back-rest + Geisha took her chance to keep me there for kisses and playing ... this girl always gets a laughter out of me!
Geisha is added to The Whippet Archives
having a database with pictures, that is able to go far far back in time, easy to use and is for free is just amazing! THANKS sooo much for this awesome service, Karin!!!
As we received the official AKC registration back today, I entered Geisha there as well:

Unfortunately only a few of her 22 siblings of 2 litters are entered. If you read this and have one of her brothers or sisters, I can only encourage you to get your pup in there too. it helps for research + is nice to have/see for the unknown relatives too.

Winchester
on Friday we headed up to Winchester for my weekend seminar: George Alston Handling Clinic with the Shawnee Kennel Club
it was interesting, exhausting + Kenzo & me had a surprising success: 2nd place at the final beginner competition. I was even more surprised, when he said, I would have won, when the actual winner would have done the same before, what he did when we came back in the ring for the ribbons - he stopped showing his dog. doubtful about my skills as I am, I'd have never expected a placement.
I only can recommend this seminar to everyone who would like to get a better start/new perspective of showing. It was hard training, but in a relaxed atmosphere with lots of friendly people + surprisingly not a lot of barking.
We haven't been the only sighthound representatives, there was an Irish Wolfhound too :) quite a difference though...
while we were studying, Geisha, Martin & the new iPad enjoyed the time in the hotel.
here, some pictures of our journey
dogs in the car - good dogs are sleeping :) unfortunately Kenzo didn't find good space, but gentleman like as he is, he let her sleep... seems like she's already a big girl!
arriving in the hotel, the played hide + seek our fought over a toy exhausted after the first seminar day Geisha doesn't mind a good nap either :) watching each others back in the park
looking just cute
we finished the weekend, with a deserved steak:

Day 1
after the morning nap a day on the road started (btw, no drugs involved + loose with Kenzo in the back, she did fine). first we had a look at another Chevy HHR. Geisha joined us in a crate in the spacious "trunk". it slided a little + after the short test ride she was drooling, although we didn't hear a single noise while driving. the next ride in the 2nd row of the pick up was without any problems again. we stopped to buy some building supplies (her head fits through the front fence) and as dogs are allowed in there, she got a shopping car ride. I guess the varying speed wasn't her thing so she puked at a stop. in the car fine again. then a walking experience at Petsmart. back to the cardealer picking up our new big baby ;) + home. the rest of the day we spent a lot in the yard, playing overlooking the place cleaning are you watching me? new siblings
later she got some x-pen/crate time, which she used for an intense nap. a bit playing + potty and it was bedtime again (slept through like the night before).
right now, she's watching me out of the crate again :) my little supervisor (:

pick up/first night/morning
after work, we headed down to Lexington a praying mantis reassured us of our luck on the way to the car
we spent a nice evening there chewing bones meeting other new puppy owners Billy/Mercy found her match and will have cats to try to play with as well as our little one
enjoying the pups with their perfect manners until it was time to bring our new family-member home :)
ready to go?
she slept fine with Kenzo on the backseat, was a bit shy going to and in the house + then really surprised what other furry friends there were... they make so funny noises! and how they smell...
something to eat, we played a while (Kenzo more than her, as he had to take ALL new toys first, just to make sure they are safe ;>), then potty
the cats took advantage of that
+ to bed. crated with her comfy bed, everyone else already tested, she slept through + didn't even bother to move a lot when I got up in the morning to do our (cats + dog) morning routine. later she looked a bit around, so I thought she had to get up. first thing: going out to do a business. then breakfast + back to sleep :)
